As we head into the holidays, we want to look back at the past year for the Everything Marketplaces community and share a few highlights. Before we do, we'd like to first off thank all of our community members for helping make it such a big year. Here are some highlights and community outcomes from 2025:
2025 Year In Review For The Community
- We made some big updates to our early-stage resources like Marketplace School, Marketplace Co-Founder Match, and Marketplace Launch. We also updated our Marketplace Knowledge Hub, Marketplace Expert Directory, Marketplace Jobs, and other resources.
- We shifted the community to being AI-native, starting with the launch of our Community AI Agent, then launching new AI-powered features for the community.
- We added new EIRs to our community Entrepreneur In Residence (EIR) program.
- We crossed 2,800+ marketplace founders & leaders in the community
- We now have members in 30+ countries, including the US, Mexico, Canada, Australia, Germany, France, Sweden, Ireland, Greece, Spain, Argentina, Poland, and more.
- We have 400+ female marketplace founders & leaders part of our female founders group & space.
- Over 8,500+ posts & comments have been shared in the community with founders asking questions, sharing learnings, and valuable marketplace insights to help others.
- We crossed 200+ group chats for the community, with some of the most notable marketplace founders & leaders joining us as guests.
- We hosted 120+ community events (online & offline)
- 30+ marketplace founders & leaders joined us as group chat guests (almost) every Tuesday to share their marketplace experience, learnings, and help answer questions with a group Q&A. You can find all of our past group chat recordings for reference here.
- 50+ office hours every Thursday where founders joined to get help from others in a small group setting. We also started having topics for our office hours and experts joining as guests.
- 10+ fundraising meetings where founders raising Pre-Seed to Series A rounds joined in to get help & support on fundraising.
- 4+ workshops on marketplace topics like fundraising, legal & risk, AI fundamentals for marketplaces, and more. You can find all of our past workshop recordings for reference here.
- 5+ community Ask Me Anything (AMA) events took place with founders on topics like fundraising to help share their learnings, insights, and answer questions from other founders.
- 15+ local meetups & events in cities like Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York, London, Sydney, Berlin, and more. Over 800+ founders & teams attended our local events and you can see a recap post highlighting some of our meetups from this past year here.
- We backed 12+ marketplaces through Marketplace Capital this year, growing our portfolio to 34 investments.
2025 Community Outcomes
In addition to the community highlights, here are some notable outcomes that our community members achieved in 2025:
- 900+ founders completed Marketplace School
- 10+ members met co-founders using our Co-Founder Match
- 30+ founders launched using our new Marketplace Launch
- 20+ marketplaces made key hires through Marketplace Jobs
- $400M+ in capital was raised by the community this year

There are so many more ways the community has helped founders, meaningful connections that have been made, outcomes shared, and more.
