Intro

My name is Jeff Ankerfelt, Co-founder and CEO. As a police commander, my mission was to develop innovative strategies aimed at significantly reducing crime and victimization. Our SaaS-enabled marketplaces represent the most recent advancement in this ongoing effort.

At present, our marketplaces' supply side is fragmented and disorganised. We are working to consolidate this supply so consumers can find, hire, and pay verified, licensed Security Guarding, Private Investigative, and Expert Emergency Management companies more easily and cost-effectively. Traditionally, accessing these services has been time-consuming, plagued by unqualified providers, and complicated by brokers and large international firms that increase costs and decrease quality.

FlashlightNOW operates two SaaS-enabled marketplaces. The first, the Safe and Sound Marketplace, is an online platform that allows consumers to conveniently find, hire, and pay verified licensed providers for scheduled, contracted services. Payments are processed through Stripe, with a small, percentage-based fee automatically collected from each transaction when the consumer pays the provider. 

Our second marketplace operates much like well-known ride-sharing apps. Flashlightnow P.O.D. (Protection On Demand) is a mobile application for iOS and Android that, for the first time, allows users to request in-person safety escorts or security guards from qualified, licensed local security companies whenever needed. We automatically collect a percentage-based fee for each service through Stripe at its completion.
